Plugin Management
Settings & Updates
Manage your account, check installed component versions, and manage your Next Dashboard configuration.
Plugin settings are available from the button in the top-right corner and are divided into two pages.
Account
The Account page displays information about the Next Sim Racing account currently connected to Next Dashboard.
The upper section provides shortcuts to the account area on the Next Sim Racing website, where you can manage your subscription, and the support page if you need assistance.
The Subscription section shows the current license information, including subscription status, active plan and renewal date. Select Check now to perform a new license check and refresh the displayed subscription status. Select Sign out to disconnect the current account from the plugin.
System
The System page contains version information, update preferences, configuration management, and legal documents.
The Version section shows the installation status of each Next Dashboard component. If an optional component is not installed, its version is displayed as “–“. If a required component is missing, the plugin prompts you to download and install it.
Select Check now to search for available updates. If one or more updates are found, a dedicated window displays the affected components and their changelogs before the installation begins. Components are updated separately, but when multiple updates are available, they are installed together as part of the same update process.
Some updates, including Plugin and Dashboard updates, require SimHub to restart. When a restart is necessary, the update window informs you and completes the required steps automatically. If an error occurs during the download or installation, the update window displays the corresponding error message. The existing installation is left unchanged.
Optional components may already be installed through the Next Dashboard installer. If one is missing when a related feature is used, the plugin prompts you to download and install it automatically.
The Updates notification setting controls where update notifications are displayed. Notifications can be:
Disabled.
Displayed only inside the plugin.
Displayed inside both the plugin and the dashboards.
When dashboard notifications are enabled, a small update banner is displayed directly on the dashboard whenever a new version is available. This keeps the update status visible while the dashboard is in use. Disabling update notifications also disables automatic update checks.
The Data section allows you to import or export the complete plugin configuration. The exported configuration includes dashboard selections, screen layouts, widget configurations, display settings, and the other options configured inside the plugin. Importing a configuration replaces the current plugin configuration with the data contained in the selected file. A confirmation warning is displayed before the operation is completed.
The Legal section provides direct links to the documents governing the use of Next Dashboard: EULA, Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
